Dear Jack, I was introduced to Edward Callahan, years ago, when i worked non union, but worked steady. I had a meeting , and presented my resume' This was around the time the IA and NABET were merging. Mr Callahan, as i fondly remember , said to me. its not how it used to be, but i will see to it your resume gets into the right hands. January 14, i remeber because it was my parents anniversary. I received a letter saying congratulations! you have been accepted into the apprenticeship program. I was one of the lucky 5 people who were selected. The only other person i remember out of the 5 was Kymbra Callahan. I only wish we had the apprenticeship program that had been available at NBC, under MR. Dick Smiths rule. We could all benefit from a proffessional, work environment. and taught the proper conduct on set, and with your coworkers. I feel the attack on an idea like this is a strange reaction, when it could only benefit us by making us all look better. we should have brush up courses on humility ;}
