I'm glad you all are getting a second chance to view this and I hope it will remind you how this website exposed the corruption that ruled our local and how it helped law enforcement officials, prosecutors, journalists and concerned 798 members stop the crooks that were in charge of this local from lifting millions of dollars from our coffers as well as aiding and expediting the criminal prosecution and conviction of Vincent Callaghan.
How soon we forget...

I just read the letter sent by the "Denied", and now I realize why you are all making such ignorant claims and "charges." The spelling and grammer in this letter is deplorable (meaning shameful). Must we perpetuate (meaning continue) the stereotype of hairdressers and make-up artists as being idiots. Have you ever heard of SPELL CHECK. Perhaps it is justified that you ignorant bunch of rabble-rousers "have been denied." Perhaps you should stop wasting your time and money on this fictitious (meaning make-belive) nonsense, and try for your G.E.D.'s (meaning high school deploma's).
Dear Assholes, Not a single one of you has been denied the right to speak your mind ever at any time. The fact of the matter is that you don't have a leg to stand on not morally, legally or logically. You can't ask someone to resign a paid position based on allegations. That could leave our local not only vulenerable but likely for a successful lawsuit. In answer to your ridiculous statements, I am not under Impeachment charges and even if I was I do not have to relinquish my position until charges are proven. Indeed this is a witch hunt. You people have not only no concept of how a union is run, but also for what purpose. First I would like to disabuse you of the idiotic premise that the building is our most valuable asset. It is not. Also, the business of our local is not to turn a profit. It is to enforce contracts, organize and otherwise serve the membership. It is interesting that members are being asked to refer to "Richard Callaghan for information. The only perosn who started all of this cause he could NOt GET HIS OWN WAY. And now it is proven that Richard Callaghan thinks nothing of purgery and forgery. Now, what if everyone DID step down as requested by the 'wild bunch' Who was going to run the union. Or DIDN'T THAT EVEN COME TO YOUR UNEDUCATED SELF INVOLVED MINDS..But at the rate you idiots are going we will be taken over by the IATSE rather than let YOU bunch of lunitics run the show. In response to the third letter that denigrates people as "ignorant" for not being able to spell: Perhaps you should learn to use spell check, yourself. You spelled both "grammar" and "diploma" wrong. You also didn't put question marks after two of your questions. Maybe YOU are the ignorant one.

I reread the most recent letter from our president The comments made about Joe Cuervo, were so unnessary,anyone who knows him ,would probably prefer his representation. I think that this forum would all serve us better if we didn’t use it for electioneering but for the purpose of finding out what, and why things were allowed to go so wrong. The sole purpose of all of us is to put these people out of office, and to elect an honest leadership. I began participating on the forum since you first launched the site... It is amazing how many hits you now have, just a month later, and continually giving us updated imformation on whats going on... the imput from some of the most respected members of our local, should eventually get the attention!!! we need. and hopefully the skeptical people who don't want to believe what is going on will come to the realization. This is reallly happening and it affects all of us. Dear Members, Thank you for this web site. I can see there is a lot of anger going on. It is overwhelming! I am out of the inner sanctum, thankfully being here in Boston. Very little work up here, and I don't know hardly any NYC people. I am doing my best to understand what is going on and will vote my conscience as I always do. I think this web-site and the hard work of the concerned members of local 798 was the reason we had such a great meeting monday JAN 10th. I just want to say , I hope those inattends learned and saw how important it is to attend these union meetings and when all participate things can happen and they do.... I think we are going in the right direction, and the trusteeship has its pro's and con's but right now I think it might be okay. Just keep in mind what has been started the movement for change cannotbe put aside. we must continue to work together for a better Union , one for its members . Let's continue to stay together, we can have more meetings like Jan.10th.We don'twant to repeat the mistakes of the past.
